Slatina, Olt, Romania
Slatina is the municipality of Olt County, Romania, consisting of the component localities of Cireaşov and Slatina (the capital). The city is located in southern Romania, on the left bank of the Olt River in the historical region of Muntenia (on the border with the Oltenia region) in the contact area between the Getic Plateau and the Romanian Plain. Slatina has a population of 63,487 inhabitants, being an important industrial center. With a history of 650 years and a preserved historical center, the city holds an important cultural role in the county. The emblem of the city is the bridge over the Olt River.
