This is a map of many former residential schools or residential school sites across all of Canada. These schools were used for the sole intent of wiping out the Indigenous Cultures and assimilating it for a Christian-European Culture. Around 150,000 Indigenous children have walked through the doors of all these schools with thousands never walking out in this dark period of Canadian history. Some schools are well off the road so some maps are just in the town itself.
