Ratchaburi Province (about 1,000 characters) Ratchaburi is a province in western Thailand, located roughly 100 kilometers from Bangkok. It has a long history dating back to the Dvaravati period. The name "Ratchaburi" means "City of the King." The province features both plains and mountains, with the Mae Klong River running through it, which is an important water source for agriculture and daily life. Most of the residents work in farming, growing crops like sugarcane, coconut, vegetables, and fruits, as well as raising dairy cows and pigs. Ratchaburi is also known for its pottery and dragon jar industries, which are unique to the province.
