Livingston is a large town in West Lothian, Scotland, about 15 miles (24 km) west of Edinburgh. It’s mostly a commuter town with a lot of modern housing, shopping centres like The Centre and Livingston Designer Outlet. Built in the 1960s as a planned "new town," it’s one of the biggest in the area and well-connected by road and rail.
