The Nürburgring is a motorsport racetrack named after the Nürburg in the area of the municipality of Adenau (district of Ahrweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate) in the Eifel and was inaugurated on June 18, 1927. The “mountain race and test track”, which was originally around 28 kilometers long, was in operation in its original form until 1982. The Nürburgring is the longest permanent race track in the world.
