Situated roughly 38 km from Sofia, it is a popular nature retreat featuring scenic pine forests, a local dam, and amenities like Camping Alino Lake and histroic destiantions like "St. Nikola" chirch, "St. Ilia" chapel, Alino monastery "St. Spas", roman sarcophagus "Momata" and votive sites "St. Bogoroditsa" and "St. Rangel".
